SORCERER'S STONE:
Clearly it is a great Movie. It is the beginning. THe one all others are based
from. The template if you will. All three children acted brilliantly for their ages. Richard Harris was
just the embodiment of the wise part of Dumbledore. I loved the way he played that character. The only thing that
was a bit off, was the quirkiness that is also a large part of that character. It was lacking. As I said though,
Harris did a beautiful job. The effects were great. The first time seeing Lord Voldemorte...It was pretty weird.
It was done well though graphically. I believe it was one of the 2 best "close to the book" films out there. It
really set the stage for the movies that followed. You came to love Hermione and Ron in this movie. Which is obviously
important as they are the best friends of the main character. All in all it was just a great film. Chris Columbus...

ALTHOUGH QUITE A BIT OF SIDE DRAMA IS CUT OUT AND A FEW CHARACTERS AS WELL(LUDO BAGMAN/MOLLY
WEASLEY) THE MOVIE IS FANTASTIC. IN MY OPINION IT BLOWS THE 3RD INSTALLMENT AWAY HANDS DOWN. NEWELL FOLLOWS
IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF CHRIS COLUMBUS AND ADDS HIS OWN SPIN. THE MOVIE DRAWS YOU INTO HARRY'S EMOTIONS AND ALSO MAKES YOU
LAUGH. THE PORTRAYED AKWARDNESS OF ADOLESCENCE AND ASKING MEMBERS OF THE OPPOSITE SEX ON A DATE ARE WONDERFUL.
SOME MORE IMPORTANT SUB PLOTS WERE DELETED WHICH MAY LEAVE SOME PEOPLE A LITTLE ANNOYED. THIS WOULD INCLUDE THE EXTREMELY
BRIEF MENTION OF THE TORTURING OF NEVILLE'S PARENTS. THERE ISN'T ANY MENTION PAST THE ONE SCENE IN THE PENSIEVE.
THE PEOPLE THAT DON'T READ THE BOOKS WON'T UNDERSTAND WHY SEEING THE CRUCIATIUS(spelling?) CURSE WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE FOR
NEVILLE. SIRIUS IN THE FIREPLACE WAS AN INTERESTING WAY TO HANDLE THE HEAD/FLOO POWDER TRAVEL. OVER ALL THE MOVIE'S
ACTION HIT SO FAST AND HARD, THE LOSS OF THE SUBPLOTS IS ALMOST FORGOTTEN IMMEDIATELY. CEDRIC'S DEATH IS UNNERVINGLY REALISTIC.
HIS EYE'S LOOK TOTALLY BLANK. THE ONLY WAY TO GRASP WHAT I HAVE SAID IS TO SEE THE MOVIE. AMAZING SPECIAL AFFECTS
AND AWESOME LEAPS AND BOUNDS IN ACTING BY ALL OF THE CAST. I GIVE THIS MOVIE 5 STARS, 2 THUMBS UP, AND A PARTRIDGE IN
A PEAR TREE:) ENJOY
